Dice Tiny Town Duel is a 2-player roll-and-write game using dice and a pencil.

Features

  • A 2-player dice strategy board game (solo rules included)
  • A Roll & Write mechanic — roll the dice and draw with a pen
  • The puzzle thrill of choosing your buildings, nature, and shapes from just three dice

Overview

Two players compete over 9 rounds to build the most charming town. Each round, they share the results of 3 dice, but the town each player builds differs depending on how they pair their cards with the dice.

Each round is divided into a card placement phase and a drawing phase. During the card placement phase, the starting player places all their cards first, and then the opponent places their cards on the opposite side. The later player has a restriction: they cannot place a card of the same color facing the opponent's card.

The drawing phase takes place simultaneously. The shape of the block you draw, the type of building, and the type of nature are determined by which die each of your cards is placed in front of. You then draw the shape at your chosen location in your town, and fill it in with buildings, nature, and stars.

At the end of rounds 3 and 6, send invitations to the visitors you want to show off your town to. At the end of the game, if they come to your town and are satisfied, your town's renown rises significantly.

If you don't like your dice, spend star tokens to reroll them or change their values. The more you completely fill rows or columns on your sheet, the more stars you can earn.

When the game ends, compare your towns. The player who earns more Prestige points from buildings, nature, star tokens, and satisfied visitors wins.

Build a village more charming than your rival's!

Mini Expansion: Animal Cards and Split Shapes

"Dice Tiny Town Duel: Mini Expansion" includes 2 modules.

  • The Animal Cards module adds a new scoring element: animal points. Each game, you draw and use 2 animal cards. Recommended for experienced players who are already familiar with the base rules. (The Animal Cards module is also compatible with "Dice Tiny Town (2023)")

  • The Split Shapes module adds new shape cards to your hand. Once per game, each player may use a shape split into two pieces instead of a single connected shape. Recommended for those who want the flexibility to fill in tight spaces.
